- Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Step 2: In a large bowl, combine cubed stale bread with chopped rhubarb. Toss to distribute evenly and transfer to a greased baking dish.
- Step 3: In a separate bowl, whisk together sugar, eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
- Step 4: Pour the custard mixture over the bread and rhubarb. Drizzle melted butter on top.
- Step 5: Gently stir the mixture to ensure the bread absorbs the liquid.
- Step 6: Bake for 45-50 minutes until set and lightly golden on top.
- Step 7: Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
