- Step 1: Rinse the fresh cranberries under cold water to remove any dirt or impurities.
- Step 2: In a large saucepan, combine the rinsed cranberries and 4 cups of water.
- Step 3: Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Step 4: Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes.
- Step 5: After the cranberries have softened, remove the saucepan from heat and allow it to cool slightly.
- Step 6: Using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth, strain the mixture into a large bowl or pitcher.
- Step 7: If desired, add sweetener to taste and mix well.
- Step 8: Chill the juice in the refrigerator for a couple of hours before serving.
Notes
Homemade Pure Pressed Cranberry Juice can last in the refrigerator for about 5-7 days. Consider freezing it for longer storage.
