- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
- Step 3: Gently add the cubed French bread to the bowl. Stir gently to ensure that all the bread is coated with the mixture.
- Step 4: Fold in the chopped pecans.
- Step 5: Grease your 9x13 inch baking dish. Pour the bread mixture into the dish, spreading it out evenly.
- Step 6: In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar with a tablespoon of melted butter until it forms a crumbly texture. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the top of the bread mixture.
- Step 7: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 45-50 minutes.
- Step 8: Allow the dish to cool for a few minutes before serving. Drizzle with additional maple syrup before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. You can reheat individual portions in the microwave or warm it in the oven.
