Ingredients

For the Pasta Salad
  • 12 oz pasta e.g., rotini or penne
  • 1 cup salami diced
  • 1 cup pepperoni diced
  • 1 cup provolone cheese diced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1/2 cup red onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup black olives sliced
  • 1/2 cup green bell pepper diced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped
  • 1/2 cup Italian dressing
  • Salt and pepper

Equipment

  • Large pot
  • Colander
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Sharp knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Serving spoon

Method

  1. Step 1: Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted water until al dente. This usually takes about 8-10 minutes, depending on the pasta type.
  2. Step 2: Drain the pasta using a colander and rinse it under cold water to cool it down and stop the cooking process.
  3. Step 3: Prepare the other ingredients by dicing the salami, pepperoni, and provolone cheese; halving the cherry tomatoes; and chopping the vegetables.
  4. Step 4: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooled pasta, diced salami, diced pepperoni, chopped provolone cheese, halved cherry tomatoes, finely chopped red onion, sliced black olives, diced green bell pepper, and chopped parsley.
  5. Step 5: Drizzle Italian dressing over the mixture and gently toss everything to combine.
  6. Step 6: Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Step 7: Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
