Method
- Step 1: Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Once boiling, add your chosen pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente, typically around 8-10 minutes.
- Step 2: After cooking, use a colander to drain the pasta thoroughly. Rinse it under cold water to stop the cooking process and cool it down.
- Step 3: While your pasta cools, prepare the vegetables by halving the cherry tomatoes, dicing the bell peppers, and finely chopping the red onion.
- Step 4: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooled pasta, cherry tomatoes, bell peppers, red onion, and chopped fresh basil. Toss gently to mix without breaking the pasta.
- Step 5: In a separate smaller bowl, whisk together the olive oil, hot honey, red wine vinegar, salt, and pepper.
- Step 6: Pour the dressing over the pasta salad mixture. Use a spatula or spoon to toss everything together gently, ensuring that all ingredients are coated evenly.
- Step 7: Before serving, taste the salad and make any necessary adjustments.
- Step 8: You can serve your Hot Honey Pasta Salad immediately, but for enhanced flavor, it’s recommended to refrigerate it for about 30 minutes before serving.
- Step 9: Just before serving, you can sprinkle some grated Parmesan cheese on top for added richness if desired.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Just give it a good toss before serving again.
