Ingredients

For the Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer
  • 1 cup heavy cream This will give your creamer a rich and velvety texture.
  • 1 cup milk You can use whole milk or any milk alternative such as almond, oat, or soy milk.
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree Be sure to use pure pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling.
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup This natural sweetener adds a lovely flavor.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract A splash of vanilla enhances the overall flavor profile.
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice This spice mix typically includes cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger.
  • Pinch salt A small amount of salt balances the sweetness.

Equipment

  • Medium saucepan
  • Whisk or wooden spoon
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Sealed container or bottle
  • Fine mesh strainer (optional)

Method

  1. Step 1: In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of heavy cream, 1 cup of milk, 1/2 cup of pumpkin puree, and 1/4 cup of maple syrup. Stir them together using a whisk or a wooden spoon until they are well mixed.
  2. Step 2: Place the saucepan on the stove over medium heat. Stir frequently to prevent the mixture from sticking to the bottom of the pan. Heat until it is warmed through but be careful not to let it boil.
  3. Step 3: Once the mixture is heated, remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice, and a pinch of salt.
  4. Step 4: Allow the creamer to cool to room temperature. Once it’s cooled, transfer it into a sealed container or bottle for storage.
  5. Step 5: Store your homemade creamer in the refrigerator for up to one week. Be sure to shake well before using.

Notes

If you prefer a sweeter creamer, feel free to add more maple syrup to taste. For a smoother texture, consider straining the mixture before storing it.
