- Step 1: Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions until it’s al dente. This usually takes around 8-10 minutes. Drain it in a colander and rinse under cold water.
- Step 2: While the pasta is cooling, prepare your vegetables: chop the cherry tomatoes in half, dice the cucumber and bell pepper, and finely chop the red onion.
- Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooled pasta with the chopped vegetables: cherry tomatoes, cucumber, bell pepper, red onion, and sliced black olives. Add the crumbled feta cheese and gently toss everything together.
- Step 4: In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Pour the dressing over the pasta mixture and toss everything together again.
- Step 5: For the best flavor, refrigerate the pasta salad for at least 30 minutes before serving. Check for seasoning and adjust as needed. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
