- Step 1: Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Once cooked, drain the pasta in a colander and rinse it under cold water to stop the cooking process. Set it aside to drain thoroughly.
- Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced ham, chopped dill pickles, finely chopped red onion, and diced celery. Mix them together until they are evenly distributed.
- Step 3: In a separate bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper. Whisk until the dressing is creamy and well combined.
- Step 4: Add the cooled pasta to the bowl containing the ham and vegetable mixture. Pour the dressing over the pasta and gently toss everything together until the pasta is coated evenly with the dressing.
- Step 5: Taste your salad and adjust the seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.
- Step 6: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer the salad to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
