  • 1 loaf French bread cut into cubes
  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined and frothy.
  3. Step 3: Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with melted unsalted butter.
  4. Step 4: Place the cubed French bread into the greased baking dish in an even layer.
  5. Step 5: Carefully pour the egg mixture over the bread cubes and gently press down with a spatula to ensure all pieces are soaked.
  6. Step 6: Cover tightly with aluminum foil and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
  7. Step 7: Before baking, remove from the refrigerator and let sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes.

Notes
