  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 ¼ teaspoons)
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1.5 cups warm water (110°F/45°C)
  • 0.25 cups unsalted butter melted
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder optional
  • 0.25 cups grated Parmesan cheese optional

Method
 

  1. Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Stir gently to combine and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Step 2: Add the flour, salt, and melted butter to the yeast mixture. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Step 3: Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Step 4: Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  5. Step 5: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
