- Step 1: In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Use a spatula to break it apart as it cooks. Cook until the meat is browned, about 7-10 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- Step 2: Once the beef is browned, stir in the taco seasoning according to package instructions. Allow it to simmer for a few minutes.
- Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ground beef, cherry tomatoes, shredded lettuce, shredded cheese, black beans, and diced red onion. Stir gently to mix.
- Step 4: Crush the Doritos slightly and fold them into the salad mixture gently to maintain some crunch.
- Step 5: In a separate bowl, mix sour cream and salsa until well combined. This will serve as the dressing.
- Step 6: Serve the salad in bowls and drizzle the sour cream and salsa mixture on top. Add optional garnishes as desired.
Notes
Store the salad components separately to maintain freshness. Keep the Doritos in a separate bag to prevent them from getting soggy.
