For the Hash Brown Casserole
  • 30 oz frozen hash browns
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup diced onion
  • 0.25 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Method
 

  1. Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, combine the frozen hash browns, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, shredded cheddar cheese, diced onion, melted butter, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Step 2: Spray the inside of the crock pot with cooking spray for easy removal of the casserole later.
  3. Step 3: Pour the hash brown mixture into the crock pot and spread it evenly with a spatula.
  4. Step 4: Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or on high for 3 to 4 hours.
  5. Step 5: Once cooked, carefully remove the lid and serve the casserole warm.

Notes

For an even creamier texture, consider adding an additional cup of sour cream.
