Ingredients

For the Cheesesteak Tortellini
  • 1 lb thinly sliced beef (sirloin or flank steak)
  • 1 medium onion sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 package refrigerated tortellini (9 ounces)
  • 1 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese

Equipment

  • Crock Pot or slow cooker
  • Cutting Board
  • Sharp knife
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Wooden spoon or spatula for stirring
  • Serving Bowls

Method

  1. Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients: Start by slicing your beef into thin strips if it isn't pre-sliced. Also, slice the onion and green bell pepper. The thinner the slices, the better they will cook and meld with the other flavors.
  2. Step 2: Layer in the Crock Pot: In your crock pot, combine the sliced beef, onion, green bell pepper, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix everything well.
  3. Step 3: Set the Cooking Time: Cover your crock pot and set it to cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  4. Step 4: Add Cream Cheese: About 30 minutes before you’re ready to serve, take the lid off and stir in the softened cream cheese.
  5. Step 5: Cook the Tortellini: After adding the cream cheese, toss in the refrigerated tortellini. Stir gently to coat the pasta with the creamy sauce. Cook for an additional 20-30 minutes on high until the tortellini is tender.
  6. Step 6: Finish with Cheese: Before serving, sprinkle the shredded provolone cheese on top of the mixture in the crock pot. Allow it to melt for a few minutes.
  7. Step 7: Serve and Enjoy: Once the cheese has melted, ladle it into bowls and enjoy the rich flavors and creamy texture.

Notes
