- Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Step 2: Boil the potatoes in a large pot until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and return to the pot.
- Step 3: Mash the potatoes with sour cream, cream cheese, and milk until smooth.
- Step 4: Stir in cheddar cheese, bacon, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Step 5: Transfer to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish and smooth the top.
- Step 6: Bake for 25-30 minutes until heated through and slightly golden.
- Step 7: Cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For a lighter version, consider using Greek yogurt instead of sour cream and low-fat cream cheese.
