- Step 1: Rinse the cranberries under cold running water.
- Step 2: In a large pot, combine the rinsed cranberries and water.
- Step 3: Bring the mixture to a rolling boil.
- Step 4: Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 10-15 minutes.
- Step 5: Remove the pot from heat and allow it to cool slightly.
- Step 6: Strain the mixture into a large bowl using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth.
- Step 7: Pour the strained juice back into the pot and add the sugar.
- Step 8: Stir over low heat until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- Step 9: Add lemon juice if desired.
- Step 10: Allow the juice to cool completely before transferring it to clean bottles or jars.
Notes
Store your concentrated cranberry juice in sterilized bottles or jars in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
