- Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Step 2: In a large pot, add the cubed potatoes and cover them with salted water. Bring to a boil and cook until the potatoes are tender, about 15-20 minutes.

- Step 4: Using a potato masher or electric mixer, mash the potatoes until smooth.
- Step 5: Stir in the sour cream and melted butter. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
- Step 6: Gently fold in the shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, and chopped green onions.
- Step 7: Grease your baking dish and transfer the potato mixture to the dish, spreading it evenly.
- Step 8: Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
- Step 9: Once baked, let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
