- Step 1: Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
- Step 2: In a mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, paprika, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, and cayenne pepper. Mix thoroughly.
- Step 3: Pat the beef ribs dry. Apply the dry rub generously on all sides.
- Step 4: Let the seasoned ribs sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
- Step 5: Place wood chips in the smoker and pour beef broth in the water pan if available.
- Step 6: Place the ribs on the smoker grates, bone side down.
- Step 7: Smoke the ribs for approximately 4 to 6 hours, until the internal temperature reaches 203°F (95°C).
- Step 8: Let the ribs rest for about 15 minutes before slicing.
- Step 9: Slice the ribs and serve warm with your favorite sides.
