  • 2 tbsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • Wood chips for smoking

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
  2. Step 2: In a mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, paprika, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, and cayenne pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Step 3: Pat the beef ribs dry. Apply the dry rub generously on all sides.
  4. Step 4: Let the seasoned ribs sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  5. Step 5: Place wood chips in the smoker and pour beef broth in the water pan if available.
  6. Step 6: Place the ribs on the smoker grates, bone side down.
  7. Step 7: Smoke the ribs for approximately 4 to 6 hours, until the internal temperature reaches 203°F (95°C).
  8. Step 8: Let the ribs rest for about 15 minutes before slicing.
  9. Step 9: Slice the ribs and serve warm with your favorite sides.
