Ingredients

For the Crab Rangoon Filling
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup crab meat shredded (fresh or canned)
  • 2 pieces green onions finely chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
For the Wonton Wrappers
  • 1 package wonton wrappers
For Cooking
  • to taste cooking spray or oil for spraying
  • to serve soy sauce for serving

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Spatula or spoon for mixing
  • Small bowl of water
  • Air fryer
  • Cooking spray or brush
  • Serving plate

Method

  1. Step 1: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded crab meat, finely chopped green onions, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  2. Step 2: Take a wonton wrapper and place about 1 teaspoon of the crab mixture in the center. Moisten the edges with a little water and fold the wrapper in half to form a triangle, pressing the edges firmly to seal.
  3. Step 3: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange the sealed crab rangoon in a single layer, making sure they are not touching.
  4. Step 4: Lightly spray the tops of the crab rangoon with cooking spray. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  5. Step 5: Once cooked, remove the crab rangoon from the air fryer and transfer them to a serving plate. Serve warm with soy sauce for dipping.

Notes

You can prepare the crab filling in advance and assemble the rangoon when you're ready to cook. Leftover crab rangoon can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
